San Diego-based Noots! Nutrition LLC announced that its RuckPack caffeine-free dietary supplement shots have expanded into more than 7,000 Walgreens stores nationwide. RuckPack energy shots were created by a team of Marine Special Operations Forces and received an initial investment on ABC’s “Shark Tank” just more than a year ago.

“We recognize a consumer trend toward more natural energy supplements and couldn’t be happier that RuckPack is now positioned to deliver that healthier boost to those who shop at Walgreens stores nationwide,” said Marine Corps Major and RuckPack founder Robert Dyer in a statement. “This agreement not only allows RuckPack to continue its pattern of growth but also giving, which is truly the heart and soul of this operation.”

RuckPack pledges a minimum donation of 10 percent of its profits to organizations that support service members and military families such as the United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC), Navy SEAL and Green Beret foundations. Additionally, the company’s Veterans Distributor Program allows any verified veteran to sign up at www.ruckpack.com to become an official RuckPack distributor, thereby earning 10 percent of all retail sales generated. Military service members also own 80 percent of the company, it notes.

RuckPack was designed to offer a healthier alternative within the existing energy shot market, providing caffeine-free, sustained energy through essential vitamins and minerals, the company says. Named after a military “ruck” (backpack) that is packed with survival necessities for a long combat mission, RuckPack originally was created and tested by troops on the front lines in Afghanistan.

RuckPack Blood Orange flavor is offered in individual 2-ounce bottles, two-packs and six-packs in Walgreens stores as well as select brick-and-mortar retailers nationwide. The shots also are available online through Amazon or at www.ruckpack.com
