Salient Management Co., Horseheads, N.Y., a provider of performance optimization software, appointed HighJump Software Inc., a Minneapolis-based global provider of supply chain management software, as its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner for its Salient Dashboard Miner and Dashboard Viewer.
HighJump is developing a new integrated solution for the direct-store-delivery market based on Salient’s technology. Initial purchases for the browser-based, platform-independent business intelligence solution known as OmniTech Decision have already rolled in as customers recognize the value of complete visibility in the performance of their businesses, said Derek Curtis, director of delivery solutions for HighJump, in a statement.
Salient Chief Executive Officer Guy Amisano added in a statement: “The timing is perfect for Salient and HighJump to combine their leading technologies in the [direct-store-delivery] (DSD) industry. DSD companies are under tremendous pressure to reduce costs and improve profitability through more efficient supply chain management, while at the same time customer demands and expectations continue to increase. We will help bring superior operations and decision support capabilities to these companies, enabling them to improve efficiency and profitability throughout their organizations.”
Salient also expanded its in-house team by appointing David F. Giannetto as senior vice president of performance management for the company. In this newly created role, Giannetto will lead Salient’s transformational services including on-site client technical services and business consulting as well as marketing efforts. Giannetto also is the co-author and creator of “The Performance Power Grid” management methodology and was one of the driving forces behind the Business Performance Management and Reporting initiative at the United Nations Secretariat, Salient says.
