Line extension features plant-based drinks that support digestive health

Emeryville, Calif.-based REBBL announced the launch of Sparkling Prebiotic Tonics, a line of plant-based beverages with 6 grams of prebiotic fiber to support digestive health. The effervescent drinks boast flavor profiles like cold-brew cola and ginger turmeric, with only 6 to 8 grams of sugar in each bottle, according to the company.
Chicago-based Technomic recently released its report titled “Away-from-Home Beverage Study,” which covers how consumer demands and business conditions have shifted within the past few years.

The energy-boosting beverage joins the brand’s line of non-dairy Cold Brew Coffees with Almondmilk and Coconut Cream.
The company produced revenues of $5.7 million and $5.8 million in the second quarters of 2019 and 2018, respectively, a decrease of $30,455 or 0.5 percent.

Budweiser Reserve Black Lager aged on six-year Jim Beam bourbon barrel staves

Budweiser, a brand of St. Louis-based Anheuser Busch, and Jim Beam Bourbon, a brand of Chicago-based Beam Suntory, unveiled Budweiser Reserve Black Lager, a limited-supply brew with an alcohol by volume of 7.1 percent. This specialty beer marks the second collaboration between Budweiser and Jim Beam, joining Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager, which is back by popular demand, the company says.
As Standard-Knapp celebrates its 125th anniversary, the secondary packaging company announced an agreement to partner with EoL Packaging Experts (EoL), a market leader in end-of-line packaging solutions for the food and beverage industries.
