The Baron Samedi Spiced Rum

Campari America introduced a new addition to its rum portfolio: The Baron Samedi Spiced Rum. Named for the Haitian guardian of all things enchantingly dark and otherworldly, the 90-proof spirit features Caribbean column-still rum mixed with Jamaican pot-still rum, the company says. The Baron Samedi features a variety of spices including vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, clove and vetiver, a grass native to Haiti that lends a woody, earthy flavor to the rum, it adds. Packaged in a 750-ml bottle that retails for $21.99, the spiced rum will be available in Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
