Pisco Portón’s La Caravedo

Pisco Portón LLC announced the addition of La Caravedo, a pisco puro wine, to the company’s portfolio. A pisco puro can be made from only one of the eight grape varietals allowed by Peruvian law, according to the company. The wine is crystal clear with medium viscosity and a palate that is elegant, full-bodied and slightly sweet with notes of botanicals and dried fruits, it says. The 40 percent alcohol by volume white wine has a nose that is crisp and fresh with notes of grapes, wheat and caramel and finishes long and warm, it adds. La Caravedo is available in select markets for a suggested retail price of $24.99 for a  750-ml bottle.
