Captain Morgan, a brand of Diageo North America, Norwalk, Conn., announced the limited-edition release of Jack-O’ Blast Pumpkin Spiced Rum.

Stemming from last year’s release of Captain Morgan Cannon Blast, Captain Morgan’s Jack-O’ Blast blends Caribbean rum with commonly associated fall flavors, including fresh pumpkin, cinnamon and other spices, the company says.

“As much as we enjoyed tropical cocktails over the summer, it’s time to make room for the bold flavors of fall everyone enjoys,” said Linda Bethea, vice president of Captain Morgan, in a statement. “Captain Morgan Jack-O’ Blast is a must-have for responsible adult consumers during their favorite seasonal activities, whether it’s at football tailgates, Halloween parties or backyard bonfires with friends.”

Although Captain Morgan Jack-O’ Blast’s packaging boasts the identical shape and style of Captain Morgan Cannon Blast, it features autumn colors of orange and green, the company says. To solidify its place as a must-have shot, the bold, round bottles simulates the look of a carved pumpkin when illuminated under a black light, it adds.

The 30 percent alcohol-by-volume pumpkin spiced rum has a suggested retail price of $15.99 for a 750-ml bottle and is available nationwide for a limited time this fall.
