U.S. wine importer Palm Bay International announced the newest arrival from the Roscato wine family: Roscato Rosé Dolce. The new blush varietal joins Roscato Rosso Dolce and Roscato Bianco Dolce, which both are sweet, gently fizzy wines from northern Italy, the company says. Made from a blend of Pinot Noir and two native Italian grape varieties, Croatina and Teroldego, Roscato Rosé Dolce offers bright aromas of cherry and strawberry with a hint of cotton candy, it says. Its low alcohol content of 8 percent alcohol by volume and sweet palate are perfectly balanced by a refreshing touch of effervescence, it notes. The new wine is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $11.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
